An old Indian painting of a saintly figure, referred to as Swami ji , seated cross-legged on a carpeted floor, draped in a soft green shawl, a small book held in his hands. He sits on a low pedestal, flanked by potted flowers and framed by curtains. Traditionally, saints were shown in intimate settings and the details of their worlds were painted with care and precision, to depict the presence of divine in daily life.
Although time has left its marks on the surface, yet the presence of the Swami still feels steady and alive. A wonderful collectible for anyone drawn to India’s spiritual and artistic heritage.
